RESEARCH ON PSYCHOPHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF DRIVERS AND VEHICLE OPERATORS IN NATURAL AND SIMULATED CONDITIONS

RESEARCH PARAMETERS
- assessment of the method of collecting and processing information from sensory stimuli by drivers in real and simulated conditions
- detection of the level of concentration, frustration, tiredness, routine, burnout by drivers
- assessment of the impact of the work environment on the psychophysical efficiency of drivers in real and simulated conditions
- assessment of the impact of monotony, information overload and stress on psychophysiological reactions of drivers
- diagnosing types of sensory stimuli that distract / focus the attention of drivers on ongoing activities
- ergonomics of placing control and measuring devices for drivers
RESEARCH QUESTIONS
Modern methods and techniques of research on drivers using biometric devices (EYE TRACKING, EEG, GSR, FACE TRACKING) allow to monitor the behaviour of drivers/vehicle operators in a more precise and objective manner at the level of their sensory perception, information processing and emotional reactions to dynamic events happening on the road. The results of this type of research provide very precise information on the reasons behind specific reactions of particular people to different events on the road, which allow to choose appropriate exercises and tasks correcting the behaviour of drivers at the level of individual elements of their psychophysiology.
